SubSearch for downloading subtitles

This article focuses on a very simple Windows app that helps in downloading subtitles for any movie or TV series – the SubSearch app. It’s a very lightweight instant subtitle downloader.

This software is a subtitle downloader implemented using the .NET framework. It needs .NET Framework 4.5 to be installed in the system. So, if you do not have it, the installer will install it itself.

Downloading and installing the SubSearch app:

Go to https://github.com/tu-tran/SubSearch/releases and install the latest .exe release of the app. The latest one is SubSearch version 1.0 Beta 6.

Follow the on-screen instructions and install the app to your system.

Now, you can use the app and download the subtitles by just using the Windows Explorer shell context menu.

Go to the folder that contains the movie or TV series for which you want to download the subtitles. Then right click on the movie or TV series name, and click Download Subtitle.
