Movie trailers about movies

It seems i’ve found a little more time to concentrate to opensubtitles.org. Today I saw on one nice webpage movie trailers done through google video ajax api, so I decided, it should be nice feature to have this on site too. As you can see, on subtitle detail page is now possible click to “Show trailer” link, but it unfortunately doesn’t work in Opera browser for some unknown reason. Anyway, it is searching for movie trailers, so I hope you will have fun with this small feature.
Next, I’ve added for movies – duration, tagline and plot. I’ve this information stored in database from beginning, but I decided to hide them. In opensubtitles database are some more hidden things, so be patient, I will reveal them from time to time.

What can global subtitles reveal about how often – and how meaningfully – films say ‘I love you’?

New research by film data expert Stephen Follows uses subtitle data from OpenSubtitles to explore how often films include the phrase “I love you” and how characters respond when they hear it.

Drawing on over 72,000 English-language subtitle files from fiction feature films made between 1911 and 2022, the analysis reveals patterns in cinematic declarations of love across genres and decades.
